Better Late than never…

Well hello,
So this week was an amazing one. We had two baptisms, had the baptismal interviews for two more, found six new potential investigators and were able to accomplish a lot. The baptism of Jennifer and Grant Smith was amazing. That is the biggest thing from this week. It was a wonderful service and it made it even better that Corey Smith was able to baptize his family. He has been less active for a while and in the last year or so has been coming back. There were a lot of people who never thought this day would happen but it did and it was amazing. On Sunday we had the interviews for the other two that are on date for this coming weekend. We were a little nervous because one of the people getting baptized had to go with her mom for a doctor’s appointment in Seattle and they were not sure how long it would take to get back. We prayed and prayed that everything would work out and guess what, the Lord answered another prayer. They are already back in town and things are already for this weekend. The ward has really embraced this family as they have been making these changes in their lives and coming to the Gospel as a family. The mom of this family is Tabitha Lund and she was baptized about a month ago. There have been all kinds of things that have happened as a result of her baptism. It is amazing how one person can set so many other things in motion. She has a friend in Olympia that we sent the missionaries to and she is now taking the discussions. Her two kids will be baptized this week. Missionaries in Kennewick tracted into her other two older children and they are now on date to be baptized. They said that they knew it was true because they have seen the changes it has made in their mom's life. It is so fun to be a part of this work.
This week Elder Garrick and I had a little bit more time to get out and work. As the weather has been nicer we have had a chance to talk to a lot more people. We set some goals for finding and the goals have really paid off. We have three return appointment with three different couples. There are just prepared people all over the place.
This letter is a little shorter because I don't have a lot of time but everything is going great. I don't understand how it could bad when you are in the service of the Lord. It all depends on your attitude. This gospel is so amazing and I am so grateful that we have a loving Heavenly Father. He cares for us and wants to bless us with as much as He possible can. All we have to do is live the gospel and follow the commandments. To me that seems like a pretty good deal. It is like when a person comes up to you and gives you a candy bar; the first thing you think is "this is way too good, what do you want or what did you do to it?" Our Heavenly Father wants to give us all the imponderable blessings of heaven with no strings attached. We just have to do our part.
I hope that you all have a wonderful week and stay safe. I know that the Gospel is true and that the blessings that come from it are not just short term, but the happiness that they bring can be eternal. All it takes is replacing fear with faith.
